Happy New Year! 2011 is here! Did you have a lovely weekend? It was great having a couple days off with the husband, and pups... we watched movies.. ate cupcakes..made popcorn and sipped champagne..
It's a whole new year and that means a whole fresh start to new projects and big ideas. One of my secret tricks to keep me motivated is that if I have a lousy day, I tell myself I need a fresh start and I get to start over. I swear it works and for the new year- I get a whole new year to really hit the ground running with the world.
What's new that you are starting for the new year? :)

Great motivator!
hello! I just wanted to let you know I mentioned your blog in a post today: http://teacupadventure.blogspot.com/2011/01/blog-share.html
fabulous post! my new year is all about dirty laundry right now. and no, that's not a metaphor :)

Your New Years Eve sounds lovely.
I'm going to stop procrastinating tomorrow. :)
HAHA Procrastination!
I have started my new year watching the movie "2012" with my mom, who's all into big special effects or sci-fi movies.
Not a smart move starting the new year watching a film about the end of the world. But my mom had fun. She loves catastrophies.
i'm hoping to really 'better' myself this year...do all the things i talk about, but never do.
re-learn French, re-learn the clarinet, re-invent my crafting, and take my precious Moxie for more walks!!
I just love your goals Jen- :)
Oh Jen has a good one that I am going to steal- I need to take my dogs for more walks for sure!
What a great weekend! For this new year, I'm going to be a lot more optimistic and positive (no more grouchiness).
Your weekend sounds delightfully well spent!! I love those happily busy and yet relatively lazy weekends ... :)
I love taking that 'fresh start' approach to things if I ever have 'one of those days' ... it's much better to pick yourself up and try again the next day, rather than dwell on the negative! :)
I'm kicking off a new writing project this year and starting some overseas travel adventures ... but you already knew about both of those! :)
love the power of the new year for motivation!
glad to hear you had a good time away. looking forward to seeing your work this year too xx
