Oh Hello Yellow!

I have yellow on the brain :) not just an ordinary yellow but that gorgeous electric lemony yellow.  I know yellow comes in a plethora of shades.  It's been pretty cold over here and yellow completely has over taken my thoughts.   It's everywhere!  I think the color might find it's way into some art dabbling.
Isn't this gorgeous?

Did I mention I have been dreaming about wallpaper? So odd I know but this fantastical vintage 60's wall paper would be perfect for any mixed media art project.

Oh little taxi cabs- and how they are so YELLOW! :) NYC is one of the best cities I have every been to.
My photos from my adventures to the big apple.

My friend Cindy at Quaint Handmade and her stunning pictures of life in New York City and beautiful botanical gardens. Such a talented photographer. :)  I can't think of anything but pure sunshine when I see this photo.

A little chick.. Isn't he adorable?  I'm not sure if little chicks are cuddly creatures but I think this one might be.

What a cheerful color - especially so in the cold and bleak winter months! I love that vintage wallpaper especially... a room covered in that would be an instant mood-elevator!

I love the scarf. I think I might be able to make something similar.

Love yellow. Especially in winter.

It is definitely golden in your corner with all pretty yellow. Adding a bit of yellow from Cindy just makes my day double yellow and bright. xo

Thanks for including my little chick in your blog post. All the yellow makes it seem a little less gloomy outside.

i love that angela @ pickles on pizza just blogged about things she doesn't like, that others always do...and yellow was on the list!! funny.

LOL!! I can't believe I just blogged that I don't like yellow :) That being said, it is just because I look terrible in it :) Also, when I studied color theory I found out that most fights happen in yellow rooms!! We had a yellow living room when we first got married and boy did we ever fight in that room - still not sure if it was us getting to know each other better or the yellow that caused it -- I do have a pair of yellow earrings that I love :)

our whole house is covered in yellow :) I still think its sunshine.. I don't look good in a pastel yellow but I think I look awesome in more of a mustard.

Your post made me smile. I love yellow too, and orange. The FW acrylic ink shade of indian yellow is my favorite. Happy New Year.

Haha ... what a coincidence! I have been absolutely obsessed with all things yellow of late.

I wonder if it's closely connected with the beginning of a new year? Perhaps it ties into those feelings of renewal and fresh starts?

I can't wait to see your yellow creations and your DIY post!!! :D
