Gorillas and Cupcakes

WOOHOO! it's Friday.  I am just going to be the first to admit that this has been a long week and I am so thrilled it's Friday.  We are running away for the weekend and going to the beach and getting recharged for next week.  The weekend is going to be filled with oyster shooters.. margaritas.. movies.. running and laughing on the beach.  My little dogs just love running in the sand, but they don't like the sand getting in their puppy snouts.  I think pug noses could be considered snouts right?
I painted this for my friend Jaden who is having a little baby soon and she needed a gorilla for her jungle themed baby's room.  I think he looks like a king of the jungle!  She is also a kinda amazing photographer!
This one is going to my giveaway winner whom has a thing for baking.  :) Who doesn't love cupcakes?
I am going to mail these out next week, I am just waiting for them to be 100% dry.  It's oil paints and they take forever to dry.  What are you up to this weekend? Creative thoughts your way!

PS- Oh yah..my husband was so generous to help me make blog buttons- tell me what you think.

Running away for the weekend sounds pretty magical to me! :)

Haha, and I definitely think that pug noses qualify as 'snouts'! I hope you all have a wonderful time.

I'm loving all the tweaks you're making on your site at the moment - it's looking more and more fantastic (the buttons are wonderful!!).
