The ocean and the canon.
Here is a little painting I did this week of Canon Beach in Oregon- I mostly wanted to paint it for the little people :) and the rock is called Hay Stack Rock.. You guessed it- it's shaped just like hay stack lol. I wanted to do something a little more impressionistic and playing with the shapes and light.- especially in the water. Oil on wood- 8X8
What are you up to this weekend?

Love that painting. When I lived in Portland and was in grad school, my hubs and I got engaged there. Mainly due to our shared love of Goonies and expansive coastal beaches.
Any reason to paint lots of tiny folks is ok in my book.
You totally nailed the depth in this piece..the distances between haystack and the land and the tiny people is right on.
