Unstuck the Stuck

I seem to be a little stuck lately! I always am jotting down little notes or sketching but lately it seems like when I start making something new I have been getting a little blank or I start working on something and I just don't like it.  I am typically the type of person that jumps in the water both feet first and thinks about how deep the water after my head is under the water.  I have been painting in my kitchen and painting still life which are my gotos to when I am feeling a bit blank.  I might have too many projects going on and think I need to rediscover my pure art place.
So this week I am dedicating to unleashing the beast. ahem.. I mean my creative butterfly.  Here are 5 ways to help unstuck the stuck- applies for all mediums :).

1.  How do you like your PB&J? and describe the first bite.  My all time favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich is whole wheat bread lightly toasted.. no crust.. creamy peanut butter.. and marion berry jelly. with 1 row of ruffles chips.  I can just imagine sinking my teeth into the delicious sweet treat right about now and I think just thinking about the ingredients makes me want to have one right now.
2. If you had $1000 dollars and could not spend in yourself. What would buy? After feeding the homeless and everything being right in the world.  I would go to a random Starbucks and buy everyone's coffee.  I just love the idea of random kindness and especially feeding other people's coffee addictions. I remember I had someone randomly buy my coffee at Starbucks and it just made my day a good day and I couldn't believe my luck and good fortune.
3.  Make up an ice cream flavor and name it.  Peanutripplebaconlicious. I have always wanted to name an ice cream flavor that had the word licious at the end. It would sort of be like a peanut buster parfait but more blended together with sprinkles of bacon. Doesn't everything taste better with bacon? I also found out my husband has been collecting bacon paraphernalia for his office.  I did recently buy him a bacon air freshener.
4.  What would be your superhuman power? and describe your first day of work using your power.  It's so hard to only pick one! I would pick levitating things with my mind.  Wouldn't that be awesome? I could totally get a job in heavy lifting- like a UPS person or maybe a mail carrier.
5. Describe your first time you rode a bike with out training wheels.   I was across the street of my parents old brown house and my bike had magic streamers on the bars.  The bike had a turquoise blue banana seat with a broken basket in the front.  My dad was holding me steady and my mom had her camera waiting to take the picture.  I was so excited and I could think of nothing but riding the bike.   My mom snapped the picture in my last unicorn t-shirt and red keds and it was the first time I realized I could do anything. :)

The truth that granite is actually a prized type of material to make use of as kitchen countertops basically means that you are also putting a high value and investment on your property. In other words, it basically increases the household value, and this is especially an asset if you decide to sell your possession.

I get in ruts too, but I like your creativity tips! Sometimes I just write down random words throughout the day and then when I get home I try to see if I can make any sense from the randomness. Sometimes you end up with drawings of a toaster on wheels, but sometimes you end up with something that really sparks your creativity!

yup bacon is good in anything...how about adding bacon to your PBJ with a couple jalpenos? then toss it on the grill for a minute. SO GOOD!

This is fun! I love that you support your husband's bacon paraphernalia collection! And I love that you remember so much of your bike riding experiences. I'm trying to recall mine but it's tough.

That is a really great way to kick your creative mind into gear. Maybe instead of buying all the coffee at Starbucks, you could paint the scene at Starbucks and imagine you bought all the people coffee :)

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my new blog post. Isn't Laetitia's work just incredible? Makes me want to rush out and play with papier mache. And one of the elements that I really like about it is the play with mixing scales for example the size of the books compared to the size of the beds, it really creates an additional fantasy element.

These look fun to think about. I saved your creative drawing post when you first published it in hopes of getting my creative juices flowing but I haven't come round it it. Hopefully I will soon!
