On the weekends in Portland the big thing to do is going to brunch and there are some really amazing brunch places and one of our favorite is Tasty 'n Sons. It's nestled in the Mississippi area of Portland and there is always a huge line to get in. Their food is based on local fresh ingredients and the menu changes seasonally and based on food inspiration. On a good day and if you go early the wait time is around 30-45 minutes, but is it worth waiting? yes. How do you start every brunch?.. with cocktails of course! They have a delicious Bloody Mary and champagne coated cocktail selection- my husband favorite is the Midwesterner which is a Bloody Mary that includes a beer back.
Everything on the menu is pretty delicious but some of my favorites are the breakfast board, croque madame, and the burger. I have not tried a thing I didn't like and it's not the most kid friendly restaurant because of the size and they cram as many people as they can into the space... but the staff is extremely nice and try to be extremely accommodating. If you are visiting Portland on a budget their happy hour is a shortened version of the brunch menu with all of their brunch favorites.
Yum!
