Yah for Screen printing!

I have been wanting to for a long time to take a screen printing class, but it always seemed like the screen printing classes were either too expensive or the timing was just off. I am an avid DIYer as you know, and have tried on several occasions to figure it out myself but to my dismay it just never really worked right and my screens came out funny. So why not take a class? and learn what I was doing wrong and get some inside tips because I have watched several youtube videos and they just made it look to easy or had all of their home made gadgets to help them in screen printing and since I was a beginner I needed to really know what to do to just get started. My friends Kira and Roxi were looking to take a screen printing class and I said I would love to take one too.  We ended up taking a class with Nathan over at the The Make House .  We did everything to prepping the screens and burning the screens and then pulling the prints. It was a super fun experience and I can't wait to make more.  I drew a Jackalope and then screen printed it onto a onsie for Nora.

Happy Friday! Doing anything fun for the weekend?

It was so fun! Pearl wore her shirt today. I can't wait to get together and burn some screens! I just want to print everything now.

Oh my goodness! My dad owns a screen print and embroidery shop. I had no idea that people were interested in that or wanted to go to classes on it?? LOL I will have to direct him to your post. ;)

I have always wanted to do this and I bought a book about it last year and sadly still have no gotten the supplies together to make them. This is so inspiring

That turned out so pretty! I've always wanted to screenprint too, but thought it would be way too complicated to even get in a position to try it. Perhaps I'll go see if there are classes here too...

It's probably addictive, isn't it? I bet we'll be seeing more creations from you in the future;)

This is so cool Erika, it actually looks like quite the complicated process but it worked out perfectly, loved it!

It looks like a lot of fun! I took a class but now can't remember much, but this is good inspiration to pull some of it out and try again :)

I've always wanted to try screen printing! But I'm glad I've held off because I'm far less DIY-capable than you, so if you were having problems it would have been a disaster for me! It looks like you had fun at that class! xo

Love love love these! I am not at all crafty, so I'll have to settle for adoring yours, which I'll gladly do! They're gorgeous! What fun!

i really want to do this. i have also tried screen printing the homemade way and it didn't work out. and, yes, when i have looked at getting equipment - it's spendy! since then i have been really wanting to take a class. i know there are different methods (i think that's what confuses me most) and i'd like to try them and see which works best. and if it's something to invest in. love your shirt, it turned out so well!
