DIY Meow Kitty Painted Pumpkin

Born and raised in Portland- it rains a lot here. I have always pretty much done the regular thing and hallowed out the pumpkin and carved the pumpkin but sadly the last couple of years my pumpkin has gone mushy. Last year I painted a pumpkin and carved one and the painted one made it all the Halloween.  Well... Almost the day after Halloween but the neighborhood kids steal all the pumpkins and smash them at the bottom of the hill. But last year, Tim and his brother heard the kids on the porch and this is around 10 o'clock at night and they jumped up and ran out the door. Tim is super mellow and non confrontational and to this day he is very proud he ran out there.  He didn't find them but he went looking for I don't know what.
This was extremely easy. I cut out the shape of a cat head in cardboard and guess what? instant stamp.  I painted the eyes and then a triangle nose. Then I added little caption bubbles with different kitty phrases.  Seriously so easy and Nora is already pointing at the pumpkin. I think she thinks the cat looks similar to Yoda since he is a black pug.  I know black pug and black cat so similar !:)

Have a wonderful Tuesday.

So sweet! We're having a very Portland-like day today. Rainy and windy and a coastal flood alert. A carved pumpkin would have NO chance! ;)

Tell those kids to go away! I hate hearing stories like that :(. Hopefully your pumpkins stay safe this year!

Adorable! I'm still scarred from one Halloween when I was very young, when my artist father carved the world's scariest pumpkin, and I screamed and wailed until they moved it to the front steps. Traumatizing! xo

ha, that's a really funny story! i love your kitten stamp. that's perfect! and i love your boots, seriously i need to buy a pair, it's almost criminal i don't have any. everyone in portland should be born with a pair of hunter rain boots.
