Why I love fall.

I have lived in Oregon practically my whole life and I can't remember a time that fall has been so beautiful.  Typically fall weather around these parts is nothing but rain, rain and more rain with little spots of sunshine.  But not this year! I don't want to jinx it but the weather has been absolutely amazing, We have been taking lots of family walks, almost everyday just the three of us and we have been enjoying the sunshine. Nora particularly loves walking and hearing the crunching of the leaves beneath her feet.  She is so curious about everything and it's amazing how little toddlers find so much joy in the tiniest of life's little details and it reminds me how life isn't always so complicated.  Nora insists on walking most of the time on our walks and when you pick her up starts kicking her little legs and tries to be shaken loose.  She pointed out several big fat lazy squirrels and tried to chase after them. She is starting to hold our hands when we walk and her favorite new word is tickle. :)

Oh so pretty, we don't really get 'fall' in this part of Australia, the trees keep their leaves & it's pretty green, love the difference in the seasons you captured here, beautiful :)

Oh my gosh, what a great favorite new word! I love fall too. Ours has come in fits and spurts this year, but today is the first really, really cool day. I was out super early to take a friend to the airport, and the sky was SO clear and the stars so bright. I bet we'll have tons of leaves turning these next few days. Can't wait. :)

walks in fall weather is just so wonderful. i like evening walks in the summertime too but something about fall makes it special. the crisp air, leaves, just everything. my former colleague was from portland and i've been wanting to visit for such a long time. my husband and i also took this "which state do you belong" quiz yesterday and he got oregon. ha. i almost took it as a sign.

You could have answered "Why I love fall" with "because FALL" and that would have been sufficient. It's my absolute favorite. All the colors! It sounds like Nora is having a fantastic time toddling, too. xo

Oh wow, it does look like you're having a beautiful fall. We haven't had any sunshine in a few weeks, but it hasn't snowed yet so I'm pretty happy.

These photos are so sweet, I hope your string of good weather continues.
Cheers.
