Happy November 1st! Let me first say that trick or treating with a toddler is sort of amazing! She was more excited about her jack-o-lantern bucket than anything else, but over all the night was a success. We only did maybe 10 houses but I think Tim and I had more fun because people have a tendency to give toddlers lots of candy which means Tim and I get to eat lots of candy. I think it's because they are so darn adorable. One of my neighbors was handing out Reser's Peanut Butter cups and she asked if Nora could have peanuts and I promptly replied with yes of course she can. :) She did enjoy knocking on the doors but it was funny because we ended up carrying her and then putting her in front of the door and ringing the bell. I think she was more stunned and surprised and didn't know what to make of it all and got a little freaked out when of those mechanical ghosts jumped at her. She did get to stay up about 30 minutes past bed time and by the time it was bed time she was all tuckered out.
October was a fun month filled with pumpkin patch visits, lots of trips to the local farmers market, hat wearing and long autumn walks. As you can see by the photos Winston looks particularly handsome. :)
How was your Halloween?

toddlers are so funny at halloween. it's such a strange thing - okay, go up to this door and get candy. kind of goes against the normal day expectations ;)
That sounds like fun! I hope to one day be in the US during Halloween too.
I hope your little one had a great time:)
Mmm, I'm now really craving peanut butter cups!

Oh! It sounds like you had a great Halloween, and a great October to boot! We had all sorts of sweet toddlers, many of whom tried to put the candy *back* in our bowl. Halloween is so much fun.
how awesome is that the person asked if your child could have peanuts. really intuitive person! october looked so colorful. hope your november is just as beautiful!

I agree.. trick or treating with D was such fun. He learnt how to say tick or treat.. he was so firm on only taking one candy from each house it was hilarious. People would offer him more but he refused!
He also loved handing out candy..
It's a beautiful month.
