Pancakes!

We have been so sick this week.  Nora first got sick and then passed it around to the rest of us- isn't that how it usually works right? oh life as a parent. Thankfully since I am a lover of pancakes and there are healing properties in pancakes especially ones with cute little faces on them- we have been having pancakes most mornings. Pancakes, pajamas and watching far too many episodes of sesame street and bolt have been the path to wellness.  Tonight is date night which means once Nora goes to bed- its pizza and a movie. yay! which is exactly what I need and am so happy it's friday.

what are you up to this weekend?

That is adorable. My favorite IHOP dish is the happy face pancake (a smile made out of whipped cream!!), so I get the appeal to a wee one. I'm so sorry you are all sick!! I hope you feel better soon! Sending virtual tissues and cups of tea your way. xo

That pancake is absolutely adorable!! I just love it! I hope you are feeling better soon! Both the kids I nanny have norovirus right now so I am just hoping that I can manage to not get it (both their parents have had it already - their dad brought it home a week ago). So far I've stayed healthy, but we'll see after today with both of them sick.

A little bit of creative work, a lot of housework and a lot lot of playing with my little girl.
Enjoy the weekend!

I hope you are feeling better. I am a true pancake believer as well! This week I've been hit by a triple whammy: holiday, getting the usual headcold on the long trip, getting hit by jetlag, headcold turning into a major cold, (hello I'm in the tropics,- how is this even possible!), today is the first day in 5 days I've been able to see the sun so things are on the up! :-) Hope your weekend was great! and that the date night was even great(er).

(R)rough week around our parts too, and I still seem to be recovering because every comment I've written today, I haven't been able to start with a capital letter. How weird! (Went back and fixed it. Couldn't not!) Hope you're well on the mend by now. XO

Feel better, Erika + family!!! Aww, I guess it is these times where you all get to spend some good, quality time stuck together :) I remember my dad as a superhero - he would rarely get sick, even when the rest of the family was, so of course, he'd be the one to take care of everyone! :) Oh, and pancakes totally have healing power!

we had that, or something like that. it was a doozy! lots of laying on the couch moaning. and it seems to spread quickly, i don't know anyone who hasn't gotten it.

and these pancakes! so cute. they somehow really remind me of your artwork. there is a bit of an illustrated feel to them. adorable.

We all have the sniffles but nothing to serious. I guess we will be spending it getting rest. I hate allergy season.
