A Natural Adventure with Adams Peanut Butter

I can't believe we are already in August and the summer is nearly over. We are trying to squeeze in every last bit of sunshine and enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The sunshine here is precious, so we have to savor every last ray. Tim and I have been able to do quite a few dates just the two of us where we were able to journey on some long hikes. We don't have to go very far to enjoy the mountain views and get lost in the woods. I'm speaking figuratively, of course. We didn't actually get lost! It has been a fun change of pace outside of the typical dinner and a movie (which we still love to do).

I packed our backpack with Adam's Peanut Butter and Jelly sammiches, crunchy chips and lots of cold water. I always love the crunch of regular potato chips that goes with a classic P-B-and-J. It keeps me full and satisfied! Today was a beautiful day for a hike and it wasn't too hot, but the breeze still picked up between the trees.

We headed up to trail close to our house and we are fortunate to live pretty to close to a series of trails that run through the hills of Washington Park. There are a ton to choose from and it's really picking your own adventure because if you have time, you can take a really long hike or just a short little stroll up to picnic spot.

I really do love living in Portland and am so thrilled to help celebrate Adam's Peanut Butter's 100 year anniversary with a peanut butter fueled adventure. Hopefully we can still find a way to get out there a few more times before summer is over! What adventures did you embark on this summer?

I am a paid contributor for Adam's Peanut Butter. All opinions, photos and art are my own.
