Recently I participated in the Portland Art Museum's Monster Drawing Rally. It's an event that over 75 artists are invited to in order to participate to make drawings for charity. There are three rounds and each round is an hour each. Each artist has one hour to make as much artwork as possible. The best part about the event is that the artists selected to participate come from all different disciplines and the event is open to the public.
I was extremely nervous about participating because, as you can see from the picture, you are surrounded by people watching you work. So, basically, no pressure! ha! I am so glad that I did it. I felt like I broke through and really was able to focus on the art despite my nerves. It felt good to step out of my comfort zone and just be me.
