It happened ! Everett turned 3! and he has so much energy and is constantly keeping me on my toes. He is my darter and my shy guy. My favorite is when he still gives me the full body hugs and pulls me in close when its bed time. He always asks for big hugs and makes sure that I am ok. He loves chocolate chip cookies and has a pretty big sweet tooth. Loves racing and launching his whole body while he runs. He is very ticklish and laughs at all of my jokes. Now I just have to get him to potty train. Happiest of Birthdays Ev. ...
A lot of firsts this year, especially with this guy! Everett starting a whole new chapter and missing his big sister terribly. He loves her so much, but this is such a good way for him to make his own friends and grow.  He is most excited to get lots of play ground time and playing with lots of new puzzles. The structure will be good for him and having to learn how to follow directions from a teacher. Can't wait to see what the year has for this guy....
Do you see that wild, maniacal look in Everett's eyes? Well, he was just about two in this picture and he could not sit still at all or and not follow any sort of direction. He is pretty much a wild animal and full of mischief. Everett is an ice cream cone and Nora is Bell from Beauty and the Beast. This is the first year that I didn't make the kids costumes. As soon as Nora saw the Halloween costumes at Costco, she immediately wanted to be a Disney princess.  She is the most girly girl, with always wanting to wear a princess dress with accessories. These photos make me smile for sure. I'm not sure if it's the Halloween costumes or the sheer joy of capturing a moment in time. Halloween was always one of my favorite memories as a kid because I got to choose my own costume, and for a night I could be whatever I wanted and get a ton of candy....
Happy Halloween! Nora and Everett dressed up in their costumes, just makes my heart melt. I just want to freeze time right about now....
Nora recently had her first day of pre-kindergarden! I still can't believe how fast time is going by. Nora is my first child and sending her off to school reminds me of my first days of school, picking out the new backpack, getting the perfect outfit and in Nora's case, picking out her favorite hair bow.   One thing that I really want Nora to get out of school and even in life, is a love for learning.  Learning from me and from others is extremely important and it makes my heart so happy how much she loves school. She wasn't nervous at all for her first day. As soon as we walked into the classroom, she gave me the all-too-familiar look that says, "Mom, what are you still doing here?" She is completely fearless when it comes to trying new things and has no hesitation in conquering the playground. I wish I could admit that I loved school when I was little, but I had a pretty hard time as a tween and teenager. School was the last place that I wanted to......
