Hello! Did you have a good weekend? We escaped to the coast for the holiday weekend and it was pretty amazing weather. When I say ah-mazing I mean it was so sunny, warm and I could run and dip my toes into the cool crisp ocean water. Getting to be in the ocean is a pretty rare occurrence in the Pacific Northwest because it's always so cold and the sub zero wind blows extremely hard (even in the summer), so it's such a luxury when you can really enjoy the beach and play in the water.  This is my first 4th of July celebrating on the coast in Washington and here you can buy the fancy fireworks.  These are the fireworks that my husband gets really excited about and as soon as we go in to firework tent, he immediately grabs his own basket and gets into this frenzy of needing to get his hands on the biggest and loudest fireworks possible. Now if only he could be so passionate about shoe shopping.  In the end we went to 3 different firework stands to make sure we we......
It's been gray and rainy here the past couple of days but these are some bright beautiful flowers I noticed on my walk. Here is a peak at some of my favorites.  I have tried to grow flowers in my own yard but sadly nothing is sprouting yet-.  I have two pugs that have already eaten a few of the plants but hopefully there is still hope for the rest!  Have a wonderful Thursday. ...
The main reason why I originally bought a fancy camera was because I wanted to take pictures of my paintings but now my camera is so much more than that.  My camera doesn't just capture my paintings, but captures all of life's little moments.  So here are a few easy tips that I have learned along the way to help improve my pictures. 1.  Get in there!  Don't be afraid to crouch down or get on eye level to take that amazing picture.  If you  take a close pictures it makes the photo feel more intimate and personal.     2.   Natural Light.  No flash!  If your taking a photo especially indoors- try and take the photo during the day and open your curtains and let the light in! It's an easy way to brighten up your photos with out doing much work.  3.   Background Noise.  If your taking a photo of your kitchen you may want to tidy up a little bit- I know I don't want to think about that big pile of dishe......
Some photos I snapped that make me smile :)  What are you up to this weekend? I am hoping to get some art work done and maybe watch some 80's movies with the husband. ...
Over the weekend the hubs and I went on a little trip to the pumpkin patch to pick up some pumpkins and vegetables. :)  Going out to the pumpkin patch is one of our favorite things to do in October because you get to see all the gorgeous changing trees and get some fresh veges from the farms. There were little creatures :). and lots of pumpkins of course! The hubs was a little afraid of going in the corn maze- :) So we did not enter- I think he has seen Children of the Corn too many times. Isn't that little pink pig hat adorable. and of course we found the perfect pumpkin!  :)...
What am I doing? you might ask? Taking pictures while driving, obviously.  I live life dangerously.  What are you up to today? :)...
