Big 100 11-15

I stayed up until 4 am yesterday working on these paintings because everything is due on Friday because they are framing all the work for the show.  I don't think I have stayed up that late since I was last in Vegas like over a year ago.

This is the last of the still life- playing around with glass. and I wanted to play with the blues in the glass and the dark back ground..   Every time I do still life.. I start thinking about the Sound of Music- and that song.. "This are a few of my favorite things"... :)

8X8 oil on wood.
Information about the show:
The Big 100 is 100 artists doing 15 paintings each all for the set price of $50.  Cash and Carry Show.
December 2-4th 4pm-2 am at the Goodfoot.

That's a super late night, but the end result looks glorious!!

I can't imagine how tricky it is to give that look of glass, but you've captured it perfectly in your still life.

YOU ROCK! :D

I love your still life work. Would love to see more!

-I recently stayed up 'til 2pm working on a quilt & was up again at 5 to go in to work. 3 hrs sleep. Mad me feel OOOOLD. Sometimes when you get really into something you just can't stop.

E - seriously these are so good, I was just thinking about your work for Big 100 last year and how much your painting has developed in a year. I'm so proud of how far you have come, I just wish I could be there this year :)
