Big 100 12-15

I can't believe I have almost finished all the little paintings.  This one is a homeless man and he has his whole world in a cart.

8X8 oil on wood.
Information about the show:
The Big 100 is 100 artists doing 15 paintings each all for the set price of $50.  Cash and Carry Show.
December 2-4th 4pm-2 am at the Goodfoot.

Another great painting! It made me realize that we never really see homeless people in colorful clothing.

Did you take/use a reference photo for this? What is your approach to taking photos of people? Do you ask first or just pick up your camera & shoot? ...I often see things that I want to document for possible future paintings but get nervous about taking pics of random strangers.

Just take the picture Aubrey! I use a I-phone so I think its inconspicuous when I need the shot.

If I am in the city I just snap away with my big camera because people usually think you are snapping something else.

What's the worst that happen? They say don't do that? :)
