My mothers typewriter

I decided to paint a few of my typewriters exclusively for my etsy shop.

I am mainly waiting for them to dry. This is my mother's typewriter with a matching snazzy turquoise blue case. I used to type on this machine when I was a kid and still think of that time fondly.

8X8 on canvas- original oil painting.

Happy Friday - have a fantastic weekend.  :)

You paint at the speed of light!! How many paintings do you do in a year?

maybe 40-50- but small paintings are faster. I did a 3ft/3ft which took me about a month :)

What a treasure - turquoise - my favorite color!

so pretty! I love the shades of blue and green they made midcentury typewriters. I like how you made a rather boxy, stiff object look quite soft, fitting given the sentiment

You've captured the nostalgic feeling of old school typewriters with this painting. It's a fun and charming piece.

Nice! You need to post more pics of your typewriters...these are something I'd like to start collecting myself, but have put off...
