New Orleans- here I come!
I can't believe it's almost time for us to go on our trip to New Orleans. Neither one of us has ever been and Tim and I are needing a well needed break. I am so excited for Hurricanes (the cocktail), oyster shooters, haunted houses, palm readers, graveyards, and putting my head in a stuffed crocodile.

I haven't been there either, have fun!!
I've been a couple times and always love eating at Adolfo's (611 Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, LA 70116-2001 (504) 948-3800). It's off the beaten path and in an artsy section of the city that most tourists don't go. I randomly helped a girl in a store the first time I went and she recommended it to me. It's on the second floor and a quick walk from Jackson square.
Jean Lafittes Blacksmith Shop (941 Bourbon Street, New Orleans, LA 70116. (504) 593-9761) is a great bar - one of the oldest in the US. There are no overhead lights because the building is a landmark - so it's candlelit.
You're going to love it. All the short doorknobs!

Have a blast! Post some sketches that you do when you are there (if you have time!) My favorite sketches I have done are when I am waiting in airports of some of the interesting people and surroundings.
Enjoy a hurricane for me....I have always wanted to try one!
