Summer Sports

I have had one of those weeks where everything I've been working isn't turning out- lots of starting over.  Do you ever have one of those weeks? I think I have started over on the same canvas about 20 times!  and as I write this I am still thinking about wiping over what I started. Maybe I just need to move on and paint something else? I will show you what I am working on tomorrow whether it's good or a complete disaster.. I am guessing serious disaster!  While being stuck, I have been doing some thinking about taking up a new summer sport.  Let's just say I am not the most graceful person, I am pretty clumsy and often run into things.  In fact if the hubs hears a thud in the house the first thing he yells is Are you ok or is that you running into something? :) Here is my summer sport possibilities that there is a good chance I won't hurt myself.
Croquet- I have been thinking about getting a set.  This is a ladies sport- ahem I will have to do my best. :)
Synchronized Swimming- I could totally do this right? I took swimming lessons when I was 5 and I would look amazing in one of those swim hats.  I also have some swimmy blogger friends who could maybe be apart of the team.  Some swimmy friends- Noodles and Waffles and The Lazy Designer.
Badminton- looks a little dangerous but I think I could do it! This little feather balls can't do that much damage. right?
Pie eating contest- this may not be a traditional sport but I could totally win at this one.  There is only 1 draw back to this sport.  Have you ever seen that movie Stand By Me? Well they had a pie eating contest scene in the movie and the pie eating contest does not end well. yuck.  youtube it- but be warned!
Minigolf-  which I am an expert at. Isn't this set super cute it's a 1950's set.  All pics courtesy of pininterest except the top one.   What's your favorite summer sport? I did consider lounging in the sun with a fruity drink with an umbrella but that isn't sport!

I love minigolf, but I can't play to save my life! Whenever the warm weather rolls around, I always manage to make it to an outdoor minigolf course...one of the many things I love about the summer.

I vote you go for the synchronized swimming. If not for the swimming, then for the flowery caps. Because those are awesome.

ghaha, what a lovely and funny post ^^ I would defo give the synchronized swimming a try if I were you! I took swimclasses to when I was about 4 and I think I could still do some tricks, no? It's only been 15 years! x

What a fun set of summer activities! I'd love to wear a fun bathing cap! Though I'm a decent swimmer, I'm not sure I'd be very elegant!

Croquet and pie-eating all the way!

Buy the cute cap and suit just in case you've got to work off the pie.

haha I love this! I am not athletic (except for swimming!) so I think these suggestions are terrific. We had a croquet set growing up and we loved playing! I thought it was so fun. Pie eating sounds a little messy+ bad for the waistline... mini golf is fun! And yes please start synchronized swimming with cute caps! My mom took synchronized swimming in college - for some reason that cracks me up!

I am totally joining your synch swim team as I actually know some moves! I have always secretly wanted to be on one - plus waterproof makeup & those flowery rubbery hats have my heart & soul written all over them.

i would go for mini golf... as a fellow clumsy indivdual, it's fun and you only get better as you go.

i finally beat my husband the last time we went...emphasis on finally.

Hilarious! I don't know if you're partly serious, but if you are, I vote for badminton or mini golf :)

Hi there! Thanks for passing by my blog and leaving such a nice comment :) I had a peek at your work and just love it -- I've always been a fan of oils, and you have a really interesting abstract/urban style.

I like your ideas in this post... I'm happy to supply the pies for the pie eating contest!

These are all great summer sports! I will be on your synchronized swimming team. We will probably be awesome! And if we are not, we will at least be wearing adorable swimsuits and caps! :)

croquet just makes me think of alice in wonderland.*shudders*

I'm totally having one of those weeks too. If you step back and look at what you're done it might not seem so bad... or it'll be worse, that's my experience, ha!

Those swimming hats are so fabulous!
